There are plenty of great places to visit, just a short drive away. Whether you’re looking for a fun day out with the family, or want to explore some new territory, these spots are sure to please.

Betchley Park, Milton Keynes

Okay, not exactly on our doorstep but no more than a 35-40 minute drive from us and truly one of our favourite places to visit. If you’ve watched The Imitation Game movie you’ll love visiting here even more.

Prepare yourself for a day of learning and education that will leave you completely overwhelmed with historical data and information that at times is truly mind blowing.

 
 
 

i-Fly, Milton Keynes

Not one for the faint hearted but oh what a buzz. Get to feel complete weightlessness and sky-dive in the indoor tunnel at Milton Keynes.

We’ve both experienced this and loved it. Okay a little unsettling at first but once you’re in there you cannot get enough, it’s great fun for all the family.

 

Shuttleworth House, Shuttleworth

Less than 5-7 minutes drive from Shefford, Shuttleworth provides something for everybody. Tour the six hangars of historcal airlanes and cars, muse your way round the beautiful Swiss Garden or even attend a wedding at the grand Victorian Shuttleworth House.

Famours for the family air shows and the sophisticated Flying Proms there really is something for everyone at Shuttleworth.

 

The Silverstone Museum, Silverstone

A truly immersive experience and okay, again not on our doorstep  but only a short blip of the throttle and you’ll get there within 30 minutes or so.

Discover the stars, stories and science behind British Motor Racing at The Silverstone Museum for a fab family day out.

 

 

Wrest Park, Silsoe

From dazzling parterres and fragrant borders to sweeping countryside views and idyllic woodland walks, Wrest Park is a real treat for the senses.

Trace the evolution of the English garden as you stroll through three centuries of landscape design, wander along the show-stopping Long Water and spot hidden garden buildings as you explore the grounds.

 

 

Knebworth House, Knebworth

There’s lots to see and do at Knebworth House often with large-scale events for all the family.

Tour the House, visit the Gardens, the Dinosaur Trail, the Adventure Playground, Tea Room and Gift Shop and of course it’s the home of some the world’s most iconic pop concerts including Oasis, Liam Gallagher, The Beach Boys, Robbie Williams, Metallica, Queen, Pink Floyd and the Rolling Stones.
